To create their classic cast-iron cookware, the Le Creuset foundry in Fresnoy-le-Grand employs traditional sand casting methods. After hand finishing, each pot is sprayed with two coats of brightly colored enamel and fired at 800°C, resulting in a coating that is extremely hard and durable. For slow simmering, roasting and braising rustic foods, it's hard to beat a pot from Le Creuset.
